Sailing Greta
In late 2019, Greta Thunberg had a problem. Renowned for traveling carbon neutral (boats > planes), Greta was stuck in America when she needed to get to be in Spain for the UN Climate Change conference.

In stepped Riley and Elayna of Sailing La Vagabonde, Australian social media influencers who sail around the world on their yacht with their newborn son. I managed their social media and post-produced their videos at the time so was part of the process for getting Greta on board.
That was only half the battle though. On a tight timeline to reach Spain in time for the conference, crossing the Atlantic at that time of the year was... dicey. Let alone with a 1 year old. The preparations were manic and the implications for growth to the channel were huge.

The trip itself was a tough, a 2 month crossing filled, with sleepless nights, horrid weather but also lighter moments; a glimpse into the humanity of one of the most famous teenagers in the world. It was a privilege to be part of, even managing things from afar.

As expected, the social media growth was astronomical:
The Sailing La Vagabonde Youtube channel saw a 104% increase in subscribers (700k to 1.41m) with both Riley and Elaynas' social media platforms experiencing a 34% increase in followers.
